Creative Curriculum

Differentiate Learning for Every Child

Individualize instruction by understanding how children’s abilities progress and supporting them with unique color-coded progressions that show the typical development of skills from birth through third grade. Effectively scaffold learning experiences to respond to each child’s current strengths and needs with embedded guidance and strategies located on curricular resources.

C4L Curriculum

Connect4Learning uses a project-based approach, in which children work toward a larger goal, such as playing a coral-reef scavenger hunt or converting their classroom into a museum throughout a curriculum unit. High-interest learning centers that support and extend children’s growing understandings in social-emotional skills, science, literacy, and mathematics are a fundamental part of daily lessons. Each lesson is tailored to fit the schedule and requirements of our classroom setting. Observation opportunities and individualized instruction strategies are also built into the curriculum.

Using research-based and classroom-tested foundations for learning, the author team designed six curriculum units that are focused on supporting children’s development of ten comprehensive cognitive processes. These core processes are both domain specific and applicable across all four learning domains.

Conscious Discipline

We use conscious discipline to support and sharpen social, emotional and communication skills with all of our students, teaching staff and parents.

Conscious Discipline creates a compassionate culture and facilitates an intentional shift in adult understanding of behavior via the Conscious Discipline Brain State Model. It then provides specific brain-friendly, research-backed strategies for responding to each child’s individual needs with wisdom. This highly effective approach is proven to increase self-regulation, sense of safety, connection, empathy and intrinsic motivation in both children and adults.
